June 1, 2014 was the kick off of the 2014 ASPCA Rachael Ray $100K Challenge. Preparation took months of hard labor, effort, team work and sweat, but the Challenge is now off and running. It will last for a total of three months from June 1 to August 31, 2014. During that time, 50 different animal shelters will compete against themselves to break their own adoption records! This means that they will attempt to save and adopt out more dogs and cats than they did in 2013. The winners and finalists of this competition will win grant money ranging from $5,000 to $100,000. This is an amazing challenge with incredible rewards for everyone!
During this first week of the Challenge, the shelters will be hosting special adoption events with great food, games and excitement. The guests of honor will be the adorable animals that will be up for adoption to worthy homes. PetSocial.org is asking to please support your local competing shelter by attending their events and even adopting if you can.
Thank you for supporting PetSocial.org and being a part of making our site a successful. We couldn’t do it without you.
