A beautiful dog, brutally abused, was saved from being put down due to the rescue efforts of some truly caring people, according to WPEC CBS News. With severe acid burns all over her body, a dog named Midnight wouldn’t eat and the fear in her eyes was apparent when she was brought to safety.

Acid was poured from the top of Midnight’s head straight down her back.  She was given to Diane Potter at Justin Bartlett Animal rescue in Royal Palm Beach FL. Despite being told that the injuries were so serious and the pain was extremely excruciating, Potter wanted to give Midnight a chance at life. (more…)

Celebrities who love animals are celebrities we love! Actor, director, writer, musician and animal advocate Ryan Gosling is one of those celebrities. His beloved dog, George goes everywhere with him and has even appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon with Gosling.

Ryan Gosling talks about animals being part of the family. According to a Canadian online news source, The Globe and Mail, Gosling stated, “We know that they have individual personalities and quirks (George loves apples, for example) and that they feel both physical and mental pain.” (more…)

Animal abuse & rescue cases have doubled in last year

The bad news is that according to an Austrailian news source, the number of abused animals that are investigated has doubled in the past year. The good news is at least people are recognizing this unacceptable behavior and are making the calls to have these animals rescued. More and more people are reporting animal abuse and cruelty cases to The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA), which is the UK’s largest animal welfare charity.
